Agustín V. Casasola Photographs of the Mexican Revolution

The collection consists of two albums entitled "Álbum Histórico Gráfico. Colección de mil fotografías de los principales sucesos acaecidos durante las épocas de Díaz, de la Barra, Madero, Huerta, Carbajal, la Convención y Carranza" which contain black and white photographs from 1910 to 1930. These photographs were compiled and/or taken by Agustín Victor Casasola, one of the most significant photographers during the Mexican Revolution period. The first album includes photographs of Venustiano Carranza at different political and social events, banquets, meetings, etc. It also includes photographs of Francisco Carbajal, Ávaro Obregón, Plutarco Elías Calles, Eulalio Gutiérrez and Carranza's funeral. The second album consists mainly of photographs of Emiliano Zapata, Francisco Villa, Roque González Garza, Álvaro Obregón, Pablo González, Francisco Lagos Cházaro, Francisco Carbajal, Adolfo de la Huerta, the Convention of Aguascalientes, the División del Norte, and Justo Sierra's funeral. This is probably an earlier version of the Álbum Histórico Gráfico published in 1921. These albums might have been published before Adolfo de la Huerta’s presidency.
