Correspondence with William H. Holmes and Aleš Hrdlička (U.S. National Museum, Smithsonian Institution), D. C. Collier (President of the Panama-California Exposition), and Wesley Bradfield (School of American Archaeology) concerning plans for archaeological, anthropological, and ethnological exhibits at the Panama-California Exposition in San Diego, California. Topics include: plans for buildings and exhibits; cooperative work with the Smithsonian Institution to develop exhibits; international expeditions to gather artifacts and materials; models and casts of Maya architecture; the purchase of pottery and other materials from Cochiti Pueblo/Kotyit and Santo Domingo Pueblo/Kewa; funding and expense accounts; and various administrative details. Includes a copy of George W. Marston's "Dedication of the California Building" address on December 31, 1914, as well as papers titled "June in Balboa Park," "An Epic in Stone," and "The Exposition Grounds To-day." Also includes a "Declaration of American Artists" consular form by Donald Beauregard concerning his art studies in France and Switzerland.
